Alphabet Design: Finesse
Type Design
Inspired by fashion, craft and the typeface Didot, Finesse is a quirky, intricate display alphabet intended to capture your attention and make a bold statement. The characters of this alphabet are constructed entirely from beads of varying shapes and sizes. A collaborative book was then created and distributed, displaying all of the alphabets created by me and my peers.
This alphabet design was an assignment for my graduate typography class. After each of the students in the class completed their unique alphabet design, the class worked together to create a book showcasing all of them. We then printed multiple copies of the books and distributed them across the BU campus.
